The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson

3.0

This one was a tough read for me. Let me start by saying that I expected this book to be much more about Holmes. Really it was a book about the World's Fair with a short story about Holmes. Also... .S. Don't forget Prendergrast! When he popped in there I was like wah? Who? what? Way unbalanced. While I definitely found it interesting, with my expectations it became long and tedious. It didn't really deliver what I was expecting and that threw me off. I think if I hadn't thought it was Holmes focused I would have liked it better. Definitely interesting... definitely long... and yes I am glad it is now finished. I waivered between 2 and 3 stars on this one.
