Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans

3.0

In the realm of books I took a look, at one named Madeline I mistook. Thought it was a chapter book to hook, but found pictures, in every nook. The storyline it did not overlook, but with charm it still did cook.

In the realm of words, time has taken its toll and Madeline's prose is no longer whole. Phrases once common, now seem so old, in the modern context they no longer hold.

Now on Goodreads I'll make a record, of a mix up I did afford, a picture book, not chapter lore, featuring Madeline's simplicity to the core.

(Disclaimer for the sake of time, I did use AI to complete my rhyme)
