A neat quick novella detailing the events of a single night from the perspective of 5 friend stuck in a college town long past their "best by" date

The cast is diverse and interesting enough for the time we spend with them. I'm of two minds with pacing on this book. It does everything it needs to quickly without any faff or extraneous prose, but I can help but feel like we have just a bit too little time with each character. I only really understood Edie and Hannah's motivation for looking further into the grave, and the case for Theos involvement can be made, but Tamar and  especially Tuck seem placed by circumstance and little else, raising a big old question mark over most of their actions.

The climax is quick and clear cut, answers all questions somewhat predictably, but that's fine. It's refreshing to read a book that's not trying to trick  me.

I finished this in about two hours in two different sittings. Recommend
