I’ve heard so much about the Miles High Club series & I couldn’t wait to read it. I would say that I’m not disappointed but I’m not entirely hooked either.
I enjoyed the second part of this book way more than the first. Honestly, during the first half of this story, I felt like Emily and Jameson were just arguing, making up, finding another reason to fight and do this all over again. I wish they communicated more, because they sometimes behaved like literal children (and I’m mostly talking about Jameson).
However, what I really liked and what compensated for the repetitive arguing were the banter and the funny moments. The camping weekend (which I enjoyed too) is often mentioned, but can we also talk about Molly’s husband, Michael? I was laughing out loud.
I loved Emily’s friendship with Molly and Aaron. They welcomed immediately into their friend’s group, that was wholesome. Out of the four brothers, Tristan was definitely my favourite. Can’t wait to read his book, especially since it’s the most liked.
Overall, I liked this story. Jameson and Emily had good chemistry and the spice was good too. (I feel like spice ratings are even more subjective than general ratings, but I would give the spice a 3.5-4/5.) The plot was interesting too, but it felt a bit rushed at the end.
