Gods & Monsters

The story follows Lou, a witch, and Reid, an ex-chasseur in their final story together. Between memory loss, possession, and power, the Mahurin paints a detailed and clear picture.
Gods and Monsters was relatively engaging but wasn’t gripping. It was easy to follow, even with the accents of the narrators. While I wasn’t enthralled with the story, it was easy to listen to and I’m glad I finished it. While I listened to these, I think I’d like to physically read them again to get what I missed and not have the challenges of the accents. I am very excited, though, to read Célie’s story in The Scarlet Veil- I love a good vampire romance!
