Raises some interesting ideas about how easily a well respected member of the community could slip into danger and conspiracy, with just a single trigger. I like to think I wouldn’t have made the same choices Claire did, but I can’t imagine how awful having a constant hum in the ear would be.
I liked how unreliable Claire was as our narrator and how there was still some minor redemptive traits in her even when she was so so far gone and had become quite insufferable.
However, I found some parts of the book to drag and feel repetitive, and I’m not sure I liked the ending at all; it felt a bit too implausible in regards to how everything ended for the group members.
