I hated this book more than I have hated any book I've ever read. The book read like a fantasy someone writes about friendships if they've never had close friendships. It didn't read as real or honest. It wasn't a rom-com. The author did very little research about Spanish speaking people and how they talk. The love interest was a manic pixie dream girl. I feel like the author has a bunch of potential, but needs to have real human relationships before writing the next book. None of the relationships or dialogue make any sense- they ring false.
