Forest of Noise: Poems by Mosab Abu Toha

I’m nameless for the first time. I’m stateless for a long time.

this is such an important collection of poems, it showcases the life of the author as a citizen of Gaza. how the war affects their life and how it’s still going on for years. the yearning for a peaceful life is so heartbreaking. family, name, property that they deserve to have as a human being is being destroyed by the Israel. the hopelessness for the future, and how they try to survive by finding shelter in other countries. it’s written beautifully without losing the purpose of portraying the war they didn’t deserve in the first place.
