Extreme Killers, Volume 4: Tales of the World's Most Prolific Serial Killers by Michael Newton

1.25

First of all, this book was published in 2020, this author should know how to talk about women who engage in sex work. I found some descriptions derogatory and just downright offensive. One point, when discussing Robert Picktin, the author said something along the lines of “all in vain” after mentioning an anti-drug movement aimed at Vancouver. Like, what the hell??? Besides that, the book was informative and I learned things that I didn’t know before about the Green River Killer. I would recommend this book but just go in aware that the author, instead of using the phrase “sex work” used old, offensive language that I do not feel comfortable repeating. Overall, you may learn new things but go in knowing that this author doesn’t write victims as well as possible when discussing sex workers.
