This book was incredibly cozy! It had a sort of disjointedness that I like from a book, and it's a very specific disjointedness that I find in Frederik Backman's writing as well, who is one of my favorites. I picked this up because I love books about books, bookstores, and readers, and this fit the bill perfectly!

I loved that we saw the characters grow through their life struggles, including divorce, a bad relationship, motherhood, and general puberty. We follow Yeongju, our bookseller, as she opens the store and hires Minjun, the barista. We start with Yeongju's POV, but as we meet more people we occasionally get their POV as well. This was done very well, I can definitely have seen this going wrong and getting confusing, but I didn't feel that way.

In the same way that I can understand why Backman's books don't work for everyone, I can see why this may not be the best book for every reader. If you enjoy Backman or books about books and their impact on life, I would definitely recommend this!
