Ms. Marvel, Vol. 10: Time and Again by G. Willow Wilson
4.0
The tenth volume of Ms. Marvel is truly an end of an era, as it is the final volume which will feature the character’s original creator, G. Willow Wilson. And while a big part of me is sad to see her go, I feel as of Time and Again is ultimately a strong send off.
This volume contains several smaller Ms. Marvel stories, dealing with interesting topics, including the true source of Kamala’s powers, and her relationships with her friends. The latter includes her closest female friends, as well as the potentially “more than friends” relationship with Bruno. In truth, I wasn’t completely satisfied with how things went down with Bruno, although I feel like I shouldn’t be hugely surprised, give how romance is often handled in comics. Beyond that, I was pleased with this volume, which deliver the type of lovable content we’ve come to expect from Kamala Khan. New writer, Saladin Ahmed, has some pretty big shoes to fill. I look forward to seeing how he ends up handling one of my favorite superheroes.
