This one is probably a three star but certain aspects of it just annoyed me. I read the last two in this series and thought they were entertaining. This one didn’t work as well for me as those two. Though the premise of it is entertaining and I liked the idea of having a female lead who is a people pleaser, I didn’t find this one as fun as the others or find the characters’ growth as impactful. This one felt like it took a long time to get to the romance, but even that wasn’t my favorite. I often mostly like the supportive heroes this author tends to write, but in this one the male lead acted badly but was never called out to the extent I thought he deserved with his manipulative and controlling behavior. This author’s style is still so readable, and it had entertaining times but this one just wasn’t for me. 🗣👥🌧️
