This book inspired me to watch Brokeback Mountain for the first time in my life and there is no going back. I just can’t quit gay cowboy romance no more.
M.A. Wardell does MM romance like no other. He knows how to make the reader feel connected to the main characters really fast and invested in their stories. This is a part of a collective series written by multiple authors and I am so glad it started with this story because the author has a was of making you want to know more about the secondary characters who will have lead roles in the next books.
Boone and Wylie are sweet as molasses, and warm as cornbread. And yes, there are a lot of (and better) cowboy-ish similes and metaphors throughout the novella. I loved these characters and really look forward to reading more from this author!
