OK, let's start with the good. This was well written and kept me turning the pages. I enjoyed it well enough. However, the author took a lot of liberties with the original Myth which is normally completely fine by me so long as it makes sense and adds something. This story was dropped into the Trojan War, making links where none exist. I just didn't understand why this choice was made and found it distracting. It felt like filler. I read the authors note at the end to get a better understanding of why this choice was made but still don't get it. I felt it was unnecessary. I also didn't really get a sense of time or place. I could have been anywhere, any old forest or beach. Greece has such a unique vibe to it and I feel the author did not capture this at all.
