3.5/5 - this series has a new fan! ME!
.
I am a massive, massive fan of Jodi Taylor. She could write an instruction manual on how to watch paint try and I would read it and I would laugh and I would probably give it a very decent rating! The Chronicles of St Mary's is one of my most favorite series, so I knew I had to start the spin off Time Police series asap, and I am so glad I finally did!
.
Taylor has 12 St Marys books and never ceases to come up with an exciting plot, interesting new characters, and plenty of historical fun. I am so happy to see that Doing Time encompasses many of the traits I love about St Marys. Likable characters, time travel and history, British wit and charm, and plenty of Jodi's signature sarcastic humor. As much as I love Max, Peterson, and Markham from St Marys, I am here for this new trio - Jane, Luke, and Matthew! Cannot wait to go on more adventures with them.
.
If you're a fan of St Marys, pick this one up! Even though this is the beginning of the series, it is helpful to read St Marys prior to Time Police.
