As can be expected from an India Hilton book, this was an absolute lark in a world where magical geography is an academic discipline. I loved the journey the two characters were on together and apart, though sometimes the longing/yearning would grate on me (though, to be fair, the longing and yearning is not always my favorite trope). That said, the payoff and the circumstances necessary for it do make sense after the journey they go on. And, India Holton's writing is an absolute delight, with quirks unique to her.
Sensing that the time for dignity had not only come and gone but was now catching a ship for foreign parts with no intention of every returning.
Such a fun read & definitely a great airplane book!
