I love how the author explored each character at the beginning of the book, it gave me chance to connect with and learn about the characters before diving into the romance.I liked Xavier sense of humor and Sloane witty comebacks. I liked how Ana Huang took get time to also develop their relationship but I wanted more tension and more denial between them especially from Sloane. When they got into a “relationship”, I got bored really fast because even tho their relationship made sense , it lacked passion , I was more interested in his business and the cameo from another character’s from her universe because more passion was put into the vault than their relationship. I just really wanted more from them. I liked the characters apart more than I liked them with each other. I did however enjoyed the family dynamic between Sloane and her family simply because it wasn’t a cliche where everyone realize their mistakes and they’re one big family again,I was raw and realistic. Same goes for Xavier.
Overall I like the writing and the characters and I was entertained for the most part.
