I feel disappointed, since House in the Cerulean Sea is one of my favorites. This was a very weird hodgepodge that didn’t sit well with me. 

Hated the overly sexual or just childish jokes from the side characters. Really disliked the message of the book in general about redemption. This might be me personally. 

So yeah. Only giving it one star and hoping the next thing I read from him won’t be such a bummer.
