Okay, so I will start by saying I had such high expectations for this book. “Butcher and Blackbird” is one of my favorite reads of the year, and it was a perfect 5/5 star. I know many people were disappointed by this sequel, and I was too, but I still enjoyed it! It wasn't as perfect as the first book in the series, but I still fell in love with Lark and Lachlan. My only negative was that it felt like we forgot that someone was hunting them for half of the book. I love that we had such a beautiful love story, but it seemed that unlike “Butcher and Blackbird,” we didn't have an even love story and a mystery/murder plot. However, the spice in “Leather and Lark” was superior, I will say.
