I Have Some Questions for You by Rebecca Makkai

mysterious medium-paced

3.5

I listened to and read this in tandem. As an audio book I found myself getting bored when I wasn’t also doing something else (folding laundry, cooking, etc). I really got more from this book when I was physically reading it. It gave me more time to digest some of the imagery/poetry.

Some parts of this book felt very repetitive (“she was the one…”) but I think that may have also been the point? Without giving spoilers, the ending wasn’t what I hoped for, but it felt realistic. Your main character is somewhat at peace.
