The Queen of Nothing

emotional
mysterious
fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
A mix
Strong character development:
No
Loveable characters:
Yes
Diverse cast of characters:
Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Complicated
A few occasions in which there could have been gone into more detail
for example: Jude did not get to read the letters and we do not see how Orlagh reacts to her being High Queen. I also thought Oriana and Randalin had opportunities to grow as characters when they showed Jude sympathy, yet they returned to being cold towards her. What I find quite disappointing was how Jude seemed to have less power after Cardans return, not caused by him taking it from her, but by her seeking his approval. I thought after her winning the battle and handling the power well she would have felt empowered and would have spoken up for herself at the coronation, instead Cardan silenced Randalin
