The Crossing Places by Elly Griffiths

4.0

I really enjoy these sort of meandering British thrillers that include a lot about the characters' lives but still manage to make the mystery aspects taut and interesting. I especially enjoy that they don't employ a lot of contortions and twists and tricks the way so many American mystery/thrillers do. I derived the same kind of enjoyment from this book I get from reading Donna Leon's Brunetti mysteries.
