I did not know anything about this book when I started, only that I was recommended this book because of tik tok and that it is a retelling of a story I never heard about so I went into this book blind. I really wish that I looked at least at the trigger warning because FAM… it was a lot. 

The men in this book were disgusting because of how they mistreated women but belittling them with words and violence. (yes, that also includes rape, which the Main charater just wacthed it happened) The only dude that I liked was Sail… he was the best…. 

Beside the awful men and disturbing events that took place throughout the book, it was still a good reading for world building and character development. As well as setting the stage for the next book. Which I heard is a LOT better than this one so, I have high hopes.

Lastly, I HIGHLY recommend reading the trigger warnings because it is an intense and dark read.
