I’ve seen some reviews marking this book as horror, and although it has uncomfortable aspects I don’t think it has the required elements for horror- except being creepy. A small town is suddenly forced to deal with 32 children who show up out of nowhere. They don’t have adults, they speak in their own fabricated language, and they can be violent when pushed. But who’s to be feared here? The children who are a product of their surroundings or the adults who can’t seem to cope or deal with the circumstances?
