this book was an absolute chore to get through. I got to 90% and seriously considered DNFing at that point because I just could not care anymore.
Rin, although an antihero, was so one dimensional over the last 2 books that I wish she would just fail and not get up again. There is so much more I wanted out of this series that it just fell flat for me. The wonder and mystery of book 1 that balanced the despair was completely gone during books 2 and 3.
I'll keep reading this author in hopes that this was just a difficult series to read.
