Doomed by Chuck Palahniuk
4.0

Dear reader, the "Gentle tweeter" introduction to every chapter was the worst thing about this book. It was more of a minor annoyance than anything.I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what all of these other reviews are hating, other than just choosing to dislike Chuck Palahniuk. Doomed wasn't perfect by any means, but it wasn't awful. Any fan of Chuck Palahniuk should give both Damned and Doomed a chance.

When I got through reading Damned, I was left with more questions than answers. The entire book, in fact, presented a ton of questions but no answers. It wasn't the books overwhelming charm or amazing story telling that drove me to Doomed, it was more so me wanting to know what the hell was going on.

All of the questions I was left with at the end of Damned were all answered. Chuck's story telling also improved in this book. Where Damned felt like a book written from a stream of consciousness, Doomed felt like it had a purpose.
