More Than Words: A Love Story by Mia Sheridan

5.0

This was a really great romance between Jessie, a student of French who loves translating old documents, and Callum, the boy she meets in her teens and introduces to music, who grows up to be a world-famous composer. I loved their first meeting when they were young, and also the tension when they meet again as adults after a separation. This book had a great mix of tension and romance, with Callum facing writer’s block, and having lived a playboy’s life that Jessie wants no part of. Her work in France and the French setting was also nice.

The reveals that came later in the book were well done and didn’t feel manufactured. This was a romance that just worked really really well. I loved the way it slowly unfolded and watching the two of them struggle to find their happy ending.
