Nest of Thieves by Rory Miles

This started out so well and then just plateaued for the second half of the book, basically. I think that as soon as Jo moved in with them, all the momentum went right out the window. Their banter was great. The way Jo showed up as such a badass was amazing. By the end of the book it felt like she wasn't that tough anymore and I didn't feel very fulfilled by her "winning" in the end. The relationships with the men felt forced and somewhat off. I appreciate the author trying to add in diversity with the male characters but the spanglish came off forced and Riku/Lark's asian heritage felt like an afterthought. I think this book had the fittings to be SO great, but it suffered from being too long and lacking plot progression that started off really well. Reverse harems also have such a difficult time allowing you to truly get invested in each individual relationship. I wasn't able to feel depth there. Also, Jo kept doing seemingly dumb mistakes. I also feel like it was never explained fully how these guys were always able to find her...was it Lark? I mean they said they could smell her, but like that doesn't really say much. Sigh. It was okay. I'll definitely read more from this author int he future.
