Ghost Virus by Graham Masterton

3.0

I'd never read anything by Graham Masterton but this first book in the Patel & Pardoe series intrigued me. The first couple of chapters really hooked me, and I must say that there is a fair amount of gore in this book as well. It has a sort of 'Hot Fuzz', dark comedy feel to it. Unfortunately, after a few chapters I lost interest in the book because it seemed like some of the chapters were over written and delayed in getting to the point. What I mean by that is, I think the book could of been more effective/enjoyable if it had some of the benign descriptive paragraphs taken out. This book is more of a paranormal mystery/thriller as opposed to a horror novel. If you enjoy impossible crime novels this would be a great book for you!
