Thank you to the publisher for an eARC provided via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I was really excited to read this one. I really enjoy the filming a movie and it gets too real kind of trope especially in a horror or a thriller. I thought this one was really well done. I’m usually able to predict the killers and the twists in thrillers, but this one kept me guessing the whole time. The pacing was really goos, and the creepy factor started out in the beginning with the slower start. Once the shit hit the fan, the pacing amped up and it was nonstop. I didn’t put the book down for the last 50%. The twists kept twisting and the tension was fantastic.
Haze was a good character. I liked her interest in trying to uncover the truth about her father and the past, and I really liked how the film was mirroring the events she was trying to discover. I also liked the references to slashers and how Haze really was a final girl. She was a character that I was rooting for immediately, and I liked how she went about looking for clues. I also liked how she handled things when people started to get hurt.
