Goldie Vance, Vol. 2 by Hope Larson

4.0

Goldie Vance is such a charming read that I couldn't hate this volume. The first volume was better iirc. This one just feels too quick. The premise/story is good and- astronauts, scuba diving, ex beauty pageant stars, and mystery are a cool enough concept for my comic-riddled brain. It's mostly nitpicking that drives the volume down, and that's mostly caused by the pacing. Everything happens to quick, person will X and then suddenly Y. Like an arguement/conflict between two characters gets patched up pretty quickly once confronted.
I still did like the dev in Goldie's relationship with Cheryl, they're friends yeah, but they can have their rough spots. And it's not like overblown, it feels natural.

Yeah just weird pacing, but still... scuba diving... Also Diane backstory
