Carley Fortune always nails that summer nostalgia vibe. This one leaned heavier than Every Summer After with the grief and responsibility, but I loved how it balanced that with such a hopeful, romantic tone. The dual timeline worked so well, and I was just as invested in their past day together as their present. I also really loved the emphasis on Fern and Will learning that sometimes you have to throw your carefully made plans out the window—because at the end of the day, it’s your life, not anyone else’s. And honestly? Fern and Will might be my favorite Fortune couple so far 💕 Imperfect, layered, and so worth rooting for.
