This book was engaging and fun the chapters had a good length that kept the story moving and gave multiple character perspective’s helping you really dive deep into the characters background and thought processes. It was very action packed and kept me on my toes. With that being said I think it lacked a little bit of flare compared to shadow and bone. I felt myself not needing to read it and it wasn’t as exciting as I was expecting. I will say booktok may have made my expectations a little high for this book and that’s the reason I wasn’t 100% in love. My expectations simply may have been too high. Over all this book was very good though.
