The New House
by Tess Stimson
I would start by saying that there isn’t one totally likable character, but… that was kind of the point, and this wouldn’t have been as good of a story if there had been.
I found this a bit repetitive at times (was it really necessary to describe Peter’s “amber eyes and sweeping, tawny hair” every single time his character appears?) and some of the musings about the mind of a psychopath were either redundant or contradictory. Generally speaking though, this was a very good story that kept my mind racing. I actually thought that the most clever twist was in the first half of the book.
