Such an intriguing read. I loved the period being set in the 1800s as this lent to the author being able to apply some unique cultural aspects. The mystery was well constructed. The characters, even side or more minor ones, had well developed backgrounds and motivations. I found it was great read! It was a bit slower in the beginning but the pace picked up about 1/3 of the way through.
