if slow burn horror and creeping dread are “boring” to you, then don’t pick this up. if you love dread building, get on board. gives off elements of blair witch, indiana jones, and the ritual. dual timeline horror is excellently written. love the genuine human terror surrounding basic survival while also in the midst of a supernatural threat. yeah there’s a big monster that might eat us, but what does that matter if we run out of food first? delightfully creepy and with an ending just unresolved enough to leave you feeling unsettled.
Minor: Gore, Blood, Vomit
