Evil Has A Name: The Untold Story of the Golden State Killer Investigation by Paul Holes, Peter McDonnell, Jim Clemente

dark emotional sad medium-paced

4.0

A wonderful short audiobook. The production quality is really good. It mostly follows Paul Holes career investigating Joseph DeAngelo. The story begins from a spate of fetish burglaries through to multiple killings and finally the capture of the perpetrator.

The story was interesting as well as heart wrenching. Especially the readings completed by DeAngelo's victims. I enjoyed the fact that so much time was given to the victims to express themselves. It was different to read a true crime book where the focus isn't on the criminal but more how the crimes affected the victims.

A book worth taking the time to listen to for fans of true crime.
