I love Addie and Z! The first book was 5 stars. Book 2 was intense in the first half. The first half felt way too long. The last half dragged as well. There were parts that time jumped that felt like they should have been the most important parts.
for example I really wanted to be a part of her healing journey and recovery from.

The very beginning but it was skipped with a jump. The time she was held captive too just felt so intense. I am not one to shy away from triggers but to read 300 pages of people being raped and tortured including the fmc was difficult.
Anyway it was a good end to the duet! The story wrapped up nicely. I just think it could have been condensed a bit more in the first half.

Check those triggers!

Overall 4ish stars
Spice in the second half 4/5
