The Midnight Line: A Jack Reacher Novel by Lee Child

2.0

I purchased this book one year ago at an airport while waiting for a flight, but just picked it up to read. It is easy to read and I finished it within 24 hours. The main character, Reacher, is intriguing. I enjoyed the visibility of military/veteran personnel, a group I don't find to be written about outside of historical novels. This is not a deep and thought provoking piece of literature. This is a good vacation book and I enjoyed it for what it was!

All that being said, I realize this is part of a series of Jack Reacher books, none of which I have read. Maybe I was missing something as a result. The ending just felt abrupt, and I needed a little more to wrap up the story and make the reading more fulfilling. Perhaps if I read the next book in the series, I would find that fulfillment.
