This book landed on my TBR after I read my first Brynne Weaver book (B&B).
I just wasn't wowed by this book. It had the potential to be a great read, but it missed the mark for me. I enjoyed the pace and the backstory of Kyrie. I wanted a bit more backstory on Jack, though. I understood how Kyrie's idolization led to infatuation for her, but it seemed like Jack's came out of nowhere. Don't get me wrong, I still was rooting for them. I enjoyed the banter and competition between the 2 of them. It seemed like they fell for each other fairly quickly. The spice scenes made me cringe.....the sleeping beauty thing and the blood.......um...no thank you!
It was ok. It kept my attention without me having to force myself to finish it. But I wouldn't read it again, and I haven't thought about it since I finished it.
