First time reading Luna Pierce, and I was excited that it was a why choose and labeled a dark mafia romance. So it was a mafia romance that can be read as a stand-alone, but you can tell that June and her crew they were books before this. So this is June's bff Cora. So she stumbles upon her dad making a deal with a bad mafia guy Ricardo to help her mom, who she had no idea of was sick with cancer. She stumbles in when Ricardo comes to collect and sees her, so he wants her as payment, so she agrees to save her parents. She has one month before she is his and has to give him an heir. So this book would bother me because it was slow or very fast. She has lusted over 2 guys that know June's men, and then the third man is a fixer she sees after she does something to her boss. This book was not a dark mafia , the plot was so drawn put and honestly made no sense, especially toward the end. I felt no connection to anyone but silver and Cora and too many other plot lines. I never feel in life with her as a character. Also, all the crazy men around her really couldn't solve this issue. It just kept getting more drawn out and honestly just got worse. Was hoping for more since I enjoyed the first 25 percent.
