This was a very quick read and I really enjoyed it! I loved the author's stories about her trips to the library and how that inspired and molded who she is. I enjoyed the stories she shared about her students and the way she approaches books when teaching. A chapter I particularly liked was the chapter on the topic of representation in literature, which I feel is very important and it made my heart so happy when that student learned that a) libraries were free and b) that she could find main characters who looked like her.
In a time where book bans are more and more common around the world, I think that books that remind us of the importance of libraries and books themselves are more and more important and this is one of them!
