”This story is about a lot of things, but mostly about idiots. So it needs saying from the outset that it’s always very easy to declare that other people are idiots, but only if you forget how idiotically difficult being human is. Especially if you have other people you’re trying to be a reasonably good human for.

I’ve really nothing to say, except that Fredrik Backman has done it again. This novel kept me in its grips from beginning to end; tears were shed and laughs laughed.

The book is written in Backman’s unique style (iykyk) and has all the wit, charm, and meaningful prose you’ve come to expect. “Anxious People” does deal in some sensitive topics, so please check the trigger warnings before diving in.

I can guarantee that if you’re a fan of other novels by Backman or if you generally enjoy thoughtful books that simultaneously make you giggle and restore some faith in your humanity - this is the book for you.
