"So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

Fitzgerald's writing is absolute poetry! I love love love love this book. At first I was really confused with everything that was happening, but I was soon in the clear.

What I loved so much about this book was the whimsy of it. I loved the party settings, and I thought that Nick was such a fantastic narrator. It was super interesting to watch the story of Gatsby and Daisy unfold in the perspective of Gatsby's good friend and neighbor. Because he was a connector and prominent role in the story, but not really like a "main character"...? I don't maybe I'm totally wrong and you're all judging me, but I just thought it was unique and fantastic.

I was gushing over the language of this book for a good 70% of the book for sure. His writing was just so magical, and it perfectly matched the mood of the book, and added to the whimsical feel. I would definitely read another one of F. Scott Fitzgerald's works.

The plot was also awesome, I was pretty*shooketh* for, like, all the twists.

Love.

Have a wonderful evening
