This book was so much fun! I loved the characters, the setting, all of it!
I found Lila to be absolutely hilarious. She is totally a girl after my own heart! I also loved her relationship with her best friend, Adeena. The love triangle that was heating up between Lila, Dr. Jae the Dentist, and Amir the lawyer was also fun and I can't wait to read more about it!
I am super excited this is just the first book in this series. The second book, Homicide and Halo-Halo, was just published on 2/8/22 and I can't wait to get my hands on it so I can continue Lila's story.
Also I wanted to note how much I appreciated the trigger warnings in the author's note at the beginning of this book. I think Mia truly understands and cares about her readers. I strongly suggest you read this before diving in.
This is definitely not a series you want to miss! Be warned, do not read on an empty stomach!
