This is one of the those "What's the point" books. It doesn't add anything new to the character, doesn't say anything fresh. The inclusion of the character Johnny doesn't make a difference and Azzarello's Joker just doesn't work. I enjoyed the Lex Luthor book Azzarello wrote but this was a waste of time.
