This was surprisingly good considering the fact that I didn’t have very high hopes. I loved learning about Kya’s past as the investigation and trial were going on, and the mystery aspect of it was amazing. The writing was beautiful, and very descriptive though sometimes slightly monotonous. The last two chapters were amazing and upped the rating for me. In fact, I’m currently crying a little as I write this because of the last two chapters. Overall this was a great book, but be sure to look up some of the trigger warnings.
Graphic: Adult/minor relationship, Rape, Sexual assault, Murder, and Abandonment
Moderate: Death, Blood, and Death of parent
Minor: Suicidal thoughts
