All The Beauty in the World: The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Me by Patrick Bringley

emotional informative inspiring reflective fast-paced

4.0

I enjoyed this a lot. It’s a fairly quick read but I didn’t race through it, mostly because there was a very thoughtful aspect to it that made me slow down somewhat as I read it. A nice mix of introspective reflections on art and art’s role in our lives and a behind the scenes look at the way a museum like the Met operates. There’s a certain level of unspoken privilege operating that I wish had been addressed, but I really liked this overall.
