The Midwife of Hope River: A Novel of an American Midwife by Patricia Harman

Did not finish book. Stopped at 11%.
Main character was on my nerves already.  Read reviews on Goodreads and found that people who disliked or DNF did so around the 5th chapter. They either liked it already or didn't. Since I was searching for reviews at about this same point, I decided that I was already mentally checking out.
