I wasn't expecting to love this memoir as much as I did, but I think the audio performance really solidified how good it was. I've always liked Busy Philipps (especially on Cougartown, such an underrated show and performance!) but I didnt know much about her or ever consider that she might have something interesting to say. AND SHE DOES. This was excellent -- funny and sad, digging deep into the ugly side of Hollywood and the bullshit that actresses deal with, not shying away from the many rough patches of her marriage or her struggle with anxiety and depression. She doesn't shy away from anything, facing everything (the good, the bad, and the weird) head on. Her vocal performance is stellar, feeling like she's just talking to you, though that might also have to do with her writing style.

Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy audio books or celebrity memoirs.
